Renovating a cold room into a showcase reading room

With a key room in their home unused, cold, dull and unfitting with the rest of the home, this client fully renovated their old living room to create a new, warm, bright showcase reading room.
By stripping the room back to its skeleton, fully insulating it to keep the heat in, adding in a roof lantern with new patio doors their cold dull room was transformed into a bright, warm and comfortable space for them to sit in and enjoy a good book or some TV.
A couple keen readers, the clients had many books they wanted to display. We worked with the clients to custom design the bookshelves to the exact sizes they wanted so they could fit their larger books and have a beautiful display as a feature in the room.
